Melodie J. Garrison has been with our firm since March 2001. A graduate of the Edmonds Community College Paralegal Program, Melodie has continued her education by participating in several educational classes sponsored by the Washington State and King County Bar Associations. Since 2001 Melodie has gained extensive experience in the area of family law, and truly enjoys working with our clients. In addition to her many legal assistant duties, she assists the Firm with various administrative tasks to help the Firm run efficiently as well as being the personal assistant to Susan Millican O'Brian. Melodie is a dedicated member of our staff. She has devoted her skills to the Family Law sector which has provided her with vast experience assisting clients. Her experience is invaluable in helping ease client's concerns. Adding healthy measures of patience and persistence to her legal expertise, she is well suited to deal with the many emotions involved in this practice as well as the ability to get the discovery process completed. Melodie holds a professional membership with the Washington State Paralegal Association (WSPA). She retains an unbelievable amount of information about our cases in her head! She is also a single parent with two children.
Julie J. Johnson
Legal Assistant
Julie relocated to Washington in 1996 from England. Julie joined the firm in 2011 and brings with her over 10 years of family law experience.
She has worked extensively in family law as a paralegal with law firms in both Seattle and the Eastside dealing with complex family law litigation cases involving dissolutions, separations, parenting plan/child support modifications, relocations, child custody, third party custody, temporary orders and uncontested dissolutions. She is also experienced in trial and mediation/arbitration preparation as well as Collaborative Law. Her experience also covers estate planning, family trusts, business law, criminal defense and creditor bankruptcy. However, her passion and focus is family law.
Her experience, professionalism, work ethic and her ability to work very closely with our clients in a highly knowledgeable and sensitive manner is invaluable to the O'Brian team.
Denise D. Moss
Accounts & Client Administrator
Denise D. Moss joined the firm in 2005. A graduate of the Edmonds Community College Paralegal Program, Denise is a Seattle native who spent the last seven years working as a family law paralegal in Los Angeles, where she worked for such prestigious law firms as Nachshin & Weston, and Kleeman-Kremen. In addition, she completed advanced family law paralegal courses at UCLA. Denise brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice, having specialized in complex litigation and cases involving extensive discovery. We are excited to have her as part of our team.
