What Are Unbundled Legal Services?

There are several terms to describe unbundled legal services. This approach to offering affordable legal services is also called "limited-scope" representation. Another way to put it is "piecework."

It is an approach that has been available in Washington for a few years now. And it can help you control the costs of your divorce while still getting valuable input from an experienced attorney.

• Keep in mind that it will be important to document exactly which services the lawyer you select has committed to handle. This could include:
• Preparation of pleadings or other legal documents
• Review of pleadings and documents prepared by you or others
• Limited court appearance (for one occasion only)
