Thea Rienert
Bio
Thea is a Seattle local, having been born in the Scandinavian neighborhood of Ballard to a Norwegian father. Since then, she has focused on helping clients move forward.
Thea has over 3 years’ experience in family law in Washington. She supports her clients through the challenges of divorce, helping them navigate parenting, child support, and asset division with care and understanding. She has dealt with a wide variety of family law matters, including parentage, Protection Orders, domestic violence, wills, and Committed Intimate Relationships. Her general legal background includes legal aid, land-use law, landlord-tenant law, and environmental law. She fights for her clients to get what they deserve in court and in mediation. She specializes in collaboratively creating arrangements that are compassionate, practical and feasible for the family long-term.
Outside the office, Thea enjoys knitting, theater, hiking, baking, and leading a Shakespeare group. A Seattle native, she studied Biology and Scandinavian Studies at UW, earned her law degree from Vermont Law School for its public-interest focus, and returned to Washington in 2015 to begin her practice.
